When the Science Museum approached us about animating a film about Stephen Hawking’s famous equation it didn’t take us long to do the math - we jumped at the chance! When they said it would be projected on a large scale inside a special exhibition about Stephen’s life and contribution to science we were floored. As the project developed we learnt as much as our animator minds could handle about quantum mechanics and black holes. Directors Angie + Phoebe (collectively Arc) designed a beautiful, mesmeric deep-space infused style, and set to work. With sound design by Joe Watkinson and voice by the wonderful Cora Kirk the film now plays on a loop at the Science Museum and will go on a nationwide tour soon.
