Client FAQ
-
It depends on several factors: timeline, length, style and technique, complexity, and usage rights. We often get asked for a quote upfront, but it saves everyone time if you share your budget range from the start - transparency helps us shape the perfect solution for you.
-
It depends on length and complexity, but also your deadline. We're skilled at shaping production around your delivery date. We regularly deliver projects within a month, though we welcome longer timelines too. Our series work can take up to 2 years to animate!
-
Arrive with your spark of an idea! Any reference design or animation is helpful, plus an idea of your budget and delivery deadline. We can write scripts or support your scriptwriting, then handle everything through to delivery - whether for broadcast, projection, or online use.
-
We've worked in 2D, 3D, stop-motion, and hybrid forms (including live-action!). Our greatest love is 2D animation of all kinds - hand-drawn, rigged puppet, motion graphics - but we can assemble excellent 3D crews and find hybrid solutions too. Just ask!
-
Yes! We love working with sound - it's such an important part of any production. We can source voice actors and have great working relationships with sound designers and composers.
-
From the outset, we'll make sure you understand how animation production works and the various approval stages. It's difficult to redesign something once it's animated, but we'll ensure that's never a surprise - our process is built around keeping you informed every step of the way.
Crew FAQ
-
We'd love to keep this page updated with new opportunities, but it's just not possible to maintain in real-time! Your best bet is to follow us on social media where we post calls for crew -especially on linked.com.
-
We typically hire freelancers rather than full-time crew, bringing in talent on a project-by-project basis.
-
We're always looking for talented crew, especially directors, animators (2D or 3D), designers, and riggers. We're committed to building diverse and inclusive crews and welcome applications from people of all backgrounds.
-
We don't currently have the production capacity to offer work experience placements, but we can often integrate junior roles into our productions when the project allows.
-
Please apply via email to studio@beakus.com with a message and links to your portfolio - whether that's a website or social media. We receive a lot of interest and unfortunately can't reply to everyone, but we review all applications. Please be patient, and feel free to send a follow-up if you don't hear back.
