A Little Grey at British Animation Awards

We've just heard that the CGI short created for Simon Hewitt by Steve Smith, Mighty and the team here at Beakus, A Little Grey, has been chosen to tour around the UK with the nominees for the British Animation Awards 2018! Kicking off in London on January 11th at the Regents Street Cinema (time TBC), the audience will be asked to vote for their favourite animated film, leading to an Audience Prize awarded at the premiere UK animation event on 15th March 2018.

Our film has already played at over 20 festivals worldwide, and scooped a few awards along the way, so we look forward to showing it to an even broader audience through early 2018. It's success is a testament to the 3D CGI skills or Mighty, and co-direction of our Creative Director Steve Smith.

Award-winning 3D CGI short film,co-directed by Steve Smith and Simon Hewitt, and animated by Mighty. Grey (Tony Gardner) seeks help from a psychiatrist (Richard Atlee) when he loses his color. Grey moves in a world where everyone has their own vibrant color, except for him. He has gone a little grey, he seeks to find a cure to his condition by trying everything from daredevil sports, to rock concerts and acupuncture until he finally hits the bars, drinking himself to forget. With a baby on the way, Grey is worried that his condition may be hereditary and that he may pass it on to his child. Grey can’t seem to find his place in a colorful world anymore, but perhaps the arrival of a new life may be what’s needed for his spark to reignite once again.
